Synopsis by Rob Ferrier
In this program, viewers vicariously accompany noted author Peter Benchley as he gets up close and personal with the great white shark. Benchley feels the success of his book, Jaws, and the movie that followed it, are in large part responsible for society's current fear of sharks. He feels it's a personal responsibility to educate the public to the actual habits of these majestic beasts. To that end, he offers the footage in this presentation and the testimony of the experts here profiled.
