Comprised of Ezra Buchla, Brad Breeck, Tim Byron and Jeff Byron, The Mae-Shi - an L.A.-based experimental and indie rock band - debuted around 2003 and issued two critically acclaimed albums in 2004 and 2005 - Terrorbird and Heartbeeps, respectively - on the independent 5 Rue Christine label. The home video release, The Mae-Shi: Lock the Skull, Load the Gun is jam-packed with thirty-three of the band's music videos, alongside a sixty-minute documentary overview of The Mae-Shi's 2004 world tour, replete with candid interviews, in-concert performance footage, and backstage clips of group members.
