Synopsis by Janiss Garza

After playing it for laughs in his past few films, cowboy star Tom Mix decided to get serious in this Western, based on a popular novel by Zane Grey. It has all the usual stuff found in tales of the Old West -- the Texas Rangers, the runaway stage coach, the girl and her father, who's a bandit instead of a ranch owner this time around. Mix plays Duane who, through no true fault of his own, winds up being an outlaw. He is captured by the Texas Rangers who offer him his freedom if he agrees to round up a vicious band of cattle rustlers. Duane is more than happy to agree, and he goes about his task with enthusiasm until he realizes that the ringleader is the father of the girl he loves (Billie Dove). But even this bit of news doesn't stop Duane. He captures all the bad guys, gets a pardon for the girl's father, and marries the girl.
