Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Rahbar Qanbari's feature-length directorial debut, The Little Bird Boy, is a story of lost love. Behruz is an eleven-year-old boy whose father is in jail and whose family has almost no money. Because of his familiarity with birds, the boy is hired to imitate calls that his employers use to capture the birds. A new girl moves into the town and Behruz falls in love with her, but fate is unkind to the children's feelings. A subplot involves a man ignoring the law in order to attend his own wedding.
