No, The Killers is not the most recent version of the oft-filmed Ernest Hemingway short story. This 1973 documentary series was coproduced by the New York State Education Department and Manhattan's PBS outlet WNET. The series delineates the major causes of premature death in the United States. Subjects covered include heart disease, genetic defects, pulmonary problems, trauma and cancer. Originally prepared for television, The Killers has since been made available on video for instructional purposes.
