Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
The man dismissed as a "kook" by some and a "blessing from god" by others invites filmmaker Sean Tracey to follow him on a journey that has taken him through forty-seven states and thirteen countries over the course of the past sixteen years. He wanders the land barefoot, adapting the guise of Jesus Christ and preaching like St. Francis of Assisi. Eventually, the man they call "The Jesus Guy" attracted the attention of such respected news outlets as 20/20, Time, and The Wall Street Journal. In a society obsessed with celebrity, America's "Barefoot Evangelist" has sacrificed his identity and given up his money in order to spread the gospel. Even "The Jesus Guy" himself claims not to understand the true goal of his spiritual mission, and while most viewers may ultimately share that sentiment, odds are they'll be fascinated by the unique method by which he disperses his holy message.
