Produced by John L. Kennedy on behalf of the CBC, this weekly series offered highlights from the best of American, Canadian, and British TV comedy series. Because the well-worn sitcom format tended to rely on recurring characters and trademarked punch lines that did not always go over well with "foreign" audiences, the focus here was on sketch comedy and variety programs. The series was seen on Monday evenings, from 10-11 p.m. The International Comedy Hour kept 'em laughing from September 18 to November 6, 1980.
