Synopsis by Hal Erickson

In Episode Four of The Hurricane Express), Larry John Wayne) rescues Gloria (Shirley Grey) from the minions of the mysterious "Wrecker" and continues his search for the gold shipment stolen from the L&R railroad. Larry teams up with a man named Frank (Edmund Breese), who claims to be a railroad detective. In truth, Frank is an escaped convict determined to prove his innocence by harrassing L&R president Edwards (Tully Marshall)--and, also unbeknownst to Larry, Frank is Gloria's father. Meanwhile, several people fall under suspicion of being the mysterious "Wrecker", notably Larry's airline-owner boss Gray (Lloyd Whitlock) and disgruntled ex-railroad employee Jordan (Matthew Betz). As the episode draws to its exciting conclusion, Frank tries to lure the villains out by claiming to know where the stolen gold is hidden--leading to a nail-biting confrontation involving an abandoned mine shaft and a few sticks of dynamite.
