Through the lens of The Herricanes, filmmaker Olivia Kuan brings this unknown story of commitment, courage and strength to the forefront where it belongs. This is also a deeply personal for Kuan as her mother, Basia Haszlakiewicz, was a player on team. Despite adversity and hardship, they fielded a team purely for the love of the game. The controversial league kicked open a door in the world of sports, with a movement that is still in motion today.
