Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
A middle-aged Montreal woman lives in poverty while paying her father's rent in a private retirement home, and finds herself befriended by a nervous yet good-natured young man in this adaptation of Gogol's The Overcoat. Elise (Pascale Montpetit) lives in a cramped inner-city apartment with her bird, a box of keepsakes, and a white coat handed down to her by her beloved father. She's drifting in memories of happier times when a man named Sterling (Joey Klein) appears, and reminds her of what it's like to be alive after years in self-imposed exile.
