Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Helen Holmes, of Hazards of Helen fame, starred in this the first serial released by her own company, Signal Film Corp. Directed by her husband, J.P. McGowan, the irrepressible Holmes played Helen Rhinelander, the daughter of a railroad president (J.H. Farley). A dastardly villain, Segrue (George McDaniel), however, desires not only Helen but also the plans for a new railroad. Happily, Helen's childhood sweetheart, Paul Storm (Leo Maloney), now an engineer, is right there to protect the damsel-in-distress through the serial's 15 exciting chapters. Maloney, who had defected from Kalem's long-running The Hazards of Helen along with Holmes and McGowan, later became a popular cowboy star.
