The monarch is grateful for the chevalier's assistance during the battle of Chartres. Christiane Minazzoli provides welcome female relief to the near-nonstop swashbuckling. Filmed in France in 1958, Gallant Musketeer was released to the US two years later; the following year, Gerard Barray showed up as D'Artagnan in a brace of Three Musketeers adventures.
