Synopsis by Cammila Collar
This series of two-and-a-half-minute shorts originally aired in Japan during the show Vermillion Pleasure Night. It follows the satirical adventures of an American family called the Fuccons, who live in Japan. Despite their happy existence -- a giant house, a picturesque suburban neighborhood, and an almost sickeningly cute family dynamic -- some might call them a little cold and stiff. This would be because of the twist: they are all mannequins. Meet the Fuccons pokes fun at American television and modern life with strange adventures -- from adolescent questions about sex to a teacher who still lets his mother do the talking for him -- with characters who can't even move. Each spoof usually ends with the family sharing a laugh, much in the style of Leave It to Beaver or The Brady Bunch.
