Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The Japanese animated feature Fox With Nine Tales is based on a somewhat noirish children's story by Kido Okamoto. The heroine is a lovely young girl who discovers that she is actually a denizen of the "Dark Side." In fact, she's not a human at all, but a nine-tailed fox, and it is her mission in life to capture souls on behalf of Satan. Rather than resign herself to this fate, the girl does her best to restrain her demonic impulses, but she is cursed by her beauty, which lures many an unsuspecting male to his doom. This grim but exquisitely animated fable was originally titled Kyubi No Kitsune To Tobimaru.
