Synopsis by Janiss Garza
When Bob Whitstone (William Haman) marries Elvine Van Blooren (Jane Miller) against his father's wishes, he is disinherited. He and Elvine head West, hoping for the same success that Bob's brother Jeff (House Peters) has had. But things get tough, and Bob becomes a member of the Lightfoot gang of cattle thieves. When Elvine sees a $10,000 reward posted for the capture of the rustlers, she is not aware that her husband is one of them until he is arrested and hanged. Elvine returns to her maiden name, and four years later runs into Jeff. They fall in love and he marries her, unaware that she is his brother's widow. Some of the neighboring ranches are being rustled by cattle thieves, and when Jeff goes to town on business, he discovers his wife's identity, and that she was responsible for betraying his brother. He returns to Elvine and says as far as he's concerned, they are no longer husband and wife. However, when Jeff gets tangled up in a battle against the rustlers, Elvine comes to his aid. Both Jeff and Elvine are wounded in the battle, but Jeff is victorious, and when he sees his wife lying unconscious, he realizes how much he really loves her. She recovers and she and Jeff are reunited.
