Synopsis by Cara Saposnik
On display at the National Air and Space Museum, the Gossamer Condor is the embodiment of a dream. In this Academy Award-winning documentary, the historical and personal success of being able to fly like a bird are seen through the efforts of inventor Dr. Paul MacCready. Filmmaker Ben Shedd follows MacCready, his family, and his team over a period of a year as they attempt to win the Kremer Prize for successful human-powered airplane flight. This is an inspiring and uplifting story filmed as it really happened.
