Synopsis by Hal Erickson
This weekly-half hour adventure series debuted over French television on October 1, 1967 under the title Le Chevalier Tempete. Robert Etcheverry starred as Francois de Recci, a 17th century Gallic swashbuckler who devoted his life to defending his country against the Spanish, not to mention any and all pirates and bandits. Not unexpectedly, Francois, aka "Le Chevalier Tempete," found time to dally with a succession of delectable damsels. Even so, Flashing Blade was sold and marketed as a children's series when the first of its 13 episodes aired in Great Britain on March 31, 1969.
