Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Alan Holubar both directed and starred in this Universal Civil War drama. Wade Clayton (Holubar) and George Baring (M.K. Wilson) are both in love with Laura Sheldon (Louise Lovely). Her mother (Helen Wright) pushes her to marry the wealthier Baring. The war between the states breaks out, causing Wade and Baring to enter the fighting. Baring turns out to be a coward. While trying to escape, he is shot by Corporal Poole (Sidney Dean). Laura believes that her husband died a hero and she raises her son, Victor (Frankie Lee), to believe it. Clayton refuses to let Poole tell her the truth. Laura and Clayton renew their friendship, and, after several years, they decide to get married. Baring, who was not dead, but had fled to South America, finally returns. He sees that Clayton and Laura are happy together and figures that the only honorable thing to do is to commit suicide.
