The Fabulous '60s, a ten-part documentary series narrated by Peter Jennings and originally aired on ABC, is about the turbulent decade when international tensions, philosophical differences, and a movement towards expanding consciousness produced a kaleidoscopic view of life. Excerpts from film and television coverage review significant events in politics, international news, and developments in science and technology. They also provide a look at popular culture, sports, and entertainment. This episode, filled with the events of the year 1968, includes: the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy; the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.; and the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
