Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Florida's Everglades are thoroughly unique, standing as they do at the intersection of two biomes: the temperate mid-latitude that comprises most of the continental U.S., and the tropical. As a result of this overlap, the area witnesses the co-mingling of two vastly different ecologies. It finds animals from two dissimilar worlds crossing paths, in a tapestry of life unseen anywhere else on the globe. Designed both for Everglades fans and for those unfamiliar with the region, this nature-themed documentary transports viewers through the local geography, courtesy of both aerial views and ground tours led by park rangers.
