Synopsis by Mark Deming
In this animated adventure, artist Peter Palette has discovered how to speak with the animals (with the help of a magical tree). Now he must foil a scheme by the devious Cactus King to turn the magical forest into a desert -- which would be a death sentence for Peter's many animal pals.
