Synopsis by Olivia Cantor
Directed by Bryan Fogel, this documentary thriller investigates the events, controversies, cover-ups, conspiracy theories, and speculations about the disappearance and eventual death of prominent Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Considered a Saudi Arabian dissident, the journalist was last seen entering the Saudi consulate in Istanbul back in 2018. But when he didn’t reappear—even while his fiancée was waiting outside for him—the disappearance led to uncovering more mysteries on a global scale. The story is told through the framing of Saudi activist and vlogger Omar Abdulaziz.
