Synopsis by Rose of Sharon Winter

This is the final volume of a four-part set that chronicles the history of golf, from its early days in rural Scotland through its rise into a mega sport. Sports commentator Pat Summerall narrates the series, which explores the factors that made the game what is today. Chief among these influences were: television, better and more golf courses, and the rise of the cult of the personality of great players of the game. This episode profiles some of golf's greatest stars, with film clips that show the styles that made them famous. Included in the overview are Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, John Daly, and Gary Player. This final chapter of the series takes the viewer through progress in the game of golf from 1963-1991.
