Synopsis by Dan Pavlides
Recovering addicts at the Day Top Village on Staten Island go through group therapy in an effort to overcome their affliction. The addicts go "cold turkey" to get off drugs and give brutally honest feedback to each other as they discuss the problems that led to their dilemma. Actor Don Franck portrays an addict who is accepted by the residents as one of their own. Like others, he is given no slack and is confronted with honest assessments of his character by the patients. This documentary focuses on the healing powers of group therapy rather than the harrowing ravages of addiction.
