The serial team of Benjamin F. Wilson and Neva Gerber was at it again in this low-budget affair released in 15 chapters by Select. Miss Gerber played Marion Leonard, one of four young girls who were branded at birth with a mysterious mark visible only after reaching maturity. When decoded, the marks established the whereabouts of a cache of gold, which the four would then inherit. A nasty lawyer (Ashton Dearholt) coveted the gold as well and did his utmost best to prevent the four youngsters from finding it. Happily, A.B.C. Drake (Wilson), a noted criminologist -- who, in chapter 15, "Sands of Torment," defeats the villain in the inevitable final struggle -- aids Marion in her quest. The serial, which was written by Hope Loring and George W. Pyper, also featured Joseph W. Girard and Bill Dyer.
