Jeff Batton stars as Frank McLean, a man who finds himself alone after suddenly losing his partner of 12 years, John (Rick Pauley). Months later he finds that John had been keeping secret diaries. With this information Frank begins to delve into John's past in an attempt to get to know more about his lost love. The diaries lead him to Cullman, Alabama, where he meets Trevor Thomas (Bryen C. Winstead). Love, lies and betrayal would've likely been the next chapter in The Books of John.
