Synopsis by Rovi
One cold and rainy afternoon in urban Canada, Áila (Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers), a woman of Blackfoot and Sami descent, bumps into Rosie (Violet Nelson), a pregnant teenager of Kwakwaka’wakw descent, as the latter runs away from her abusive home. Upon seeing the barefoot, bruised, and disheveled girl, Áila quickly comes to her aid. As the two embark on a journey to find a place where Rosie can be safe, they are confronted with how the world sees them, how they see each other, and how they see themselves. Written and directed by Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers and Kathleen Hepburn.
