Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
Legendary jazz outfit The Bill Evans Trio performs a pair of concerts originally filmed for television and rarely seen until this release. In the first performance, captured live in New Jersey in 1971, musicians Eddie Gomez and Marty Morrell join the band for a memorable set list that includes "How My Heart Sings" and "Gloria's Step". A second television session filmed in Barcelona in December of 1979 finds the trio joined by musicians Marc Johnson and Joe LaBarbera and performing such tunes as "Laurie" and "My Romance". Bonus footage finds the Bill Evans Trio offering up a live performance of the M*A*S*H theme song "Suicide is Painless".
