Synopsis by Sally Barber

Charles Kuralt, America's favorite storyteller, journalist, and host of CBS Sunday Morning, presents nine inspiring and heartwarming profiles of people who embody the spirit of this vast country. From the The Best of On the Road with Charles Kuralt series, Unforgettable People introduces an 80-year-old female stunt pilot, a 104-year-old jogger, and a Kentucky farmer who aims to be a champion croquet player in the blue-blooded sport. Also meet the people of the North Platte Canteen. During World War II, the folks of this small town in Nebraska handed out pies and other treats to more than six thousand servicemen passing through on trains on their way to the front. These eccentric and delightful tales are told by Kuralt with the color and flair viewers would expect from the man dubbed the Mark Twain of the video age.
