In this comedy-drama from Northern Ireland, a young man battles alcoholism and marriage simultaneously. Billy Maguire (Seamus Ball) has regrettably been roped into being best man at his friend's wedding. Billy hates marriage but manages to make it through the wedding, and besides, the alcohol will flow freely at the post-nuptial reception. In the meantime, his friend Jamsie (Denis McGowan) is caught between saving his marriage and remaining sober, or not. Billy cannot quite stay out of Jamsie's dilemma, a dilemma that comes to a head at the reception.
