Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Mitsuru Okabe, famous for directing his mondo-styled series of glimpses at the world's most extreme bodybuilders, hosts the release Battle for Olympia 1997. This documentary program witnesses the most obscenely strenuous workouts of twelve weightlifters including Ronnie Coleman, Paul Dillett, Nasser El Sonbaty and Kevin Levrone, who prepare for the much coveted title of Mr. Olympia 1997. The program does not include footage of the competition itself.
