Synopsis by Ronnie D. Lankford, Jr.
Host Michael Moore stages a satirical game show called "Beat the Rich" in the first segment of the program. A number of questions are addressed to everyday folks and the wealthy of Park Avenue. The wealthy score well on questions about the price of IBM stock and a good year for Merlot, but the working class rally on the cost to super size it at McDonald's and how to change a vacuum cleaner bag. In the second segment Moore gathers a dozen gays and lesbians for a cross-country mission; they will travel to a number of states aboard a pink van called the "Sodomobile," to fight laws repressive to homosexuals. The group visits Reverend Phelps in Tennessee, renowned for picketing Matthew Shepard's funeral, and then travel to Mississippi to visit Senator Trent Lott's home. There, the group dresses in cheerleading costumes and performs routines on the majority leader's lawn until the police ask them to leave.
