Synopsis by Perry Seibert
The Art of Pierre Fournier features two television performances by the celebrated cellist. The first performance, from May 7, 1959, includes his rendition of two solo cello pieces - one by Kodaly and the other by Bach. The second, broadcast on November 22, 1960, involves him interpreting sonatas by Debussy, as well as work from Schumann. For these performances he is accompanied by pianist Guy Bourassa.
