The often celebrated French flutist Jean-Pierre Rampal appears in three live performances in this, the first volume of this series. The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation captured the live performances in March 1956, March 1957, and December 1961. The performances contained on the 69-minute video feature the masterful artist playing compositions by Couperin, Bach, Boccherini, Haydn, and Debussy.
