Synopsis by Andrea LeVasseur
Not to be confused with the Disney animated feature, The Adventures of Pinocchio tells the familiar tale by Carlo Collodi about a puppet who wants to become a real boy. In this version, re-edited from a 1972 Japanese TV series, the lonely toymaker Geppetto carves Pinocchio out of a single oak branch. After a fairy brings the puppet to life, Pinocchio goes on a lively adventure and learns hard lessons. The innocent puppet encounters several shifty characters and even gets moral guidance from a strangely familiar creature that is actually called Timothy the Cricket.
