Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Originating as a regional series on ITV's Southern Television service in 1983, the weekly, half-hour game show That's My Dog was beamed out to the rest of the United Kingdom beginning in 1986. The title pretty much summed up the series' content: On each episode, two dogs (generally Yorkshire terriers) went through a series of intelligence tests and obstacle courses, egged on by their enthusiastic masters. Whichever dog emerged triumphant was showered with prizes, most of which, of course, went to the humans in the equation. Hosted by Derek Johnson, That's My Dog lasted until 1989.
