Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Because her father (Eric Mayne) is facing financial ruin, Claudia Payne (June Elvidge) marries Jerome Landis (George MacQuarrie), a wealthy, middle-aged widower. But Landis has a spendthrift nephew, Harry (Gladden James), who is involved with an adventuress (Laura Brandon). When his uncle refuses to give him any more money, Harry thinks that Claudia is to blame and decides to get her out of the way. He sets up a situation that makes it seem like he and his aunt are having an affair, and Landis believes it. He files for divorce, and the judge (Charles Dungan) decides in Landis' favor, because he believes that nine out of ten women in the same situation are guilty. But when the judge comes home that night, he finds his wife in the exact same circumstances. Before he can say anything, Claudia appears, revealing that he's been tricked. So the judge accepts that Claudia is the "tenth case," and she and her husband are reunited.
