Synopsis by Hal Erickson
At first glance, cabaret girl Neva Blaine (Dorothy Dalton) is as hard-boiled than her tawdry surroundings, and no better than she ought to be. All this changes when an immaculately tailored millionaire offers to transform Neva into a "lady." Though she suspects that his intentions are far from honorable, Neva accedes to the wealthy stranger's wishes, and before long she is ensconced in a luxury apartment, complete with maid, and is being given a crash course in the social graces. Amazingly, Neva's benefactor never tries to exercise his prerogative in her boudoir, though she does have to fend off the advances of her drunken butler. Just what does the mysterious millionaire have in mind for our heroine? Ten of Diamonds waits nearly forever to "explain" itself, in the meantime offering such bizarre vignettes as showing Neva drinking the contents of a perfume bottle!
