In the opening of chapter 11 of Tarzan the Tiger, both the amnesia-suffering jungle man (Frank Merrill) and his bride, Jane (Natalie Kingston), find themselves trapped by their enemies, Tarzan in a huge net rigged by Werper (Al Ferguson) and La (Kithnou), and Jane by Chulk the ape. But once again, Tarzan's jungle friends come to his rescue, especially Tantor the Elephant, who plows through La's homicidal tribesmen. Having regained his freedom, our jungle hero learns of Jane's plight and rides to her rescue on the giant pachyderm. Chulk is defeated in hand-to-hand combat and the jungle couple is once again on the road to Opar, where Jane hopes Tarzan will regain his memory. But they are being followed.
