Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Tarzan (Frank Merrill), his brute strength not as impaired as his memory, single-handedly defeats the vicious band of Nomads. Hoping to restore his memory, Jane (Natalie Kingston) brings Tarzan to the hut where, as an orphan, he was nursed by apes. Tarzan, however, remembers nothing and retires to his treetop lair, leaving the "pretty pebbles," aka the Jewels of Opar, with Jane for safekeeping. The villainous Werper (Al Ferguson) uses their estrangement to lure Jane away. The next morning, Tarzan mistakenly believes that Jane has absconded with his "pretty pebbles" and vows revenge. At the slave market, meanwhile, Werper takes what he believes to be the jewels away from Jane, who is then put on the auction block. But as Jane is dragged away by her new lord and master, a vile-looking Nomad, an enraged Tarzan charges into the slave market on the giant elephant Tantor the Terror.
