Set in 1837 in the Hungarian wastelands, the story of this action drama strongly resembles an American western. Local shepherds do not want a canal built through their grazing territory. They have no one to help them but the legendary bandit Gyurka Csapo Farkos, a vengeful man who is an unfailing marksman. Gyurka has done is mistress wrong, and she makes a pact with an ambitious young gunslinger to do him in.
