Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Ralph Graves and Vernon Dent give some sparkle to this lightweight Mack Sennett comedy. Note that Graves' cop is called Officer 999 -- a little spoof on the play Officer 666, which was filmed a number of times. Officer 999 is a traffic cop who is in danger of compromising his integrity when he falls for a pretty young lady (Thelma Parr). The problem is that she has broken the law and he is compelled to give her a traffic summons. He can't get out of it because the hard-nosed sergeant (Dent) is carefully watching over his shoulder. This does not exactly win the girl's affection. To make matters worse, he also has to give her father (William McCall) a ticket for rushing to catch a train. But the resourceful cop comes up with a solution -- while the girl is being tried, he kidnaps her. They run off and get married and when they return to court, she is set free because her husband cannot testify against her.
