Telecast over Britain's HTV service, the weekly serial Taff Acre was set in a mining village in South Wales. In true soap-opera fashion, the setting was secondary to the trials and tribulations of the villagers themselves. In true Welsh fashion, two of the leading actors were named Davies, while two others bore the moniker Morris. Lasting 26 half-hour episodes, Taff Acre was initially broadcast in 1981.
