Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Betty Hallowell (Louise Huff) is a wealthy young woman whose parents are dead and whose grandfather (Charles Dungan) is on a voyage. Betty gives all her time and money to the Red Cross. A benefit she holds runs at a deficit and to make up the expenses, she puts her estate up for lease. The ad is seen by Mrs. Wentworth (Ida Darling), a millionaire's widow whose son Tom is an invalided American aviator (John Bowers). They take the place for the summer, but just as they're ready to leave, their maid quits. Betty sees their "help wanted" ad and decides to answer it. Thus she becomes the Wentworths' maid in her own home. She and Tom fall in love, causing a scandal. Then Tom meets Betty as her real self and thinks there is something wrong with her mind. Finally Betty's grandfather returns home and sets matters straight, and Tom and Betty become engaged.
