Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
In this elegiac and meditative film, a ten-year-old girl lives in Soviet Georgia with her single father. Since he is away most of the day at his job, she spends a lot of her time visiting the grave of her mother, when she is not playing with the cat or playing both sides of board games by herself. One day, her father brings an orphaned boy her own age home for some reason, and this adds some real substance to her life. But he is gone the next day and she must once again make do with her former amusements.
