Synopsis by Mark Deming

One of the first female hard rockers to reach the mainstream audience, Suzi Quatro first made a name for herself on Detroit's music scene in the '60s as a member of the all-girl garage band the Pleasure Seekers, but it wasn't until she moved to England in 1971 that she was taken seriously as a solo artist. In the United Kingdom, Quatro scored a fistful of hit singles, including "The Wild One," "48 Crash," and "Kick the Can," and she finally broke though at home with the 1979 hit "Stumblin' In." Quatro still has a large and devoted following in Europe, and Suzi Quatro: Leather Forever is a documentary that captures her on stage, as well as offers a look at life on the road for the veteran rocker.
