Synopsis by Sarah Ing
One of the most controversial moments of American politics is profiled in the short documentary Supreme Court Decisions That Changed the Nation: Roe vs. Wade. When a Texas woman sued the government for the right to terminate her pregnancy, she spearheaded a national debate over reproductive regulations. The eventual decision was multi-pronged and split pregnancy into three sections, thereby both limiting and granting abortion rights. Still considered a mistake by abortion foes, the decision remains under constant scrutiny almost 30 years later.
