This official NFL video shows film highlights of the 27th NFL championship, played January 31, 1993, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. In three short seasons, the Dallas Cowboys go from being the worst team in the league to being Super Bowl XXVII champs, crushing the Buffalo Bills 52 to 17. Coached by the flamboyant Jimmy Johnson, with an offense led by quarterback Troy Aikman, running back Emmitt Smith, and receiver Michael Irvin, the 'Pokes win their third Super Bowl in a record six appearances, while Buffalo loses its third straight, also a record. Buffalo scores first on two-yard run by Thurman Thomas, but Dallas storms back, with Aikman throwing four touchdowns passes, completing 22 of 30 passes for 273 yards. Emmitt Smith romps for 108 yards. Most importantly, the Cowboys convert nine turnovers into 35 points. Aikman is named MVP (Most Valuable Player), winning the Pete Rozelle Trophy.
