Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka

Young Vilius (Markunas Rimas) is the odd man out in this drama about two brothers with almost nothing in common except their gene pool. Vilius is an impoverished stone sculptor who socializes with a group of outcasts in the city. After he injures himself and cannot carve stone for awhile, his friends are not much help at all, so Vilius goes to stay in his native village with his brother Petrus (Petras Vazdiks). Petrus has money and a good job, and Vilius' parents want him to follow in his brother's footsteps. But Petrus' footsteps have nothing much to recommend them other than money; he walks all over his workers, his wife and children, his mistress Liuda (Brone Braskyte), and her daughter. Vilius' return to the village looks like it is going to be anything but easy.
