Synopsis by Tom Ciampoli
An adaptation of the 2004 Irene Nemirovsky novel, Suite Francaise is a romantic drama about the treacherous love story during World War II between Lucille Angellier (Michelle Williams) and Bruno von Falk (Matthias Schoenaerts). Bruno, a lieutenant in the German army, falls for Lucile, a villager in during its occupaton by the Nazis, in 1940, and their affection grows just as the bitter war theatens to tear them apart. Directed by {$Saul Dibb (The Duchess), the film co-stars Kristin Scott Thomas, Margot Robbie and Sam Riley.
